How to make a 30-second Wan 3.0 video without wasting the credits
Wan 3.0 can run 30 seconds in one submit. Credit math at 480P, 720P, and 1080P, and a shot list that survives the length.

Wan 3.0 on this generator will make a 30-second clip in one submit. The catch is that 30 seconds is the expensive way to discover that the prompt was vague. Test the idea short, then buy the long take.
What 30 seconds costs here
The charge is the length you pick, not an estimate the model revises after the fact. These figures are Standard, rounded up, with a minimum of 1 credit. Prime costs more, and the button shows that price before you submit:
- 480P: 1 credit per 4 seconds. 30 seconds is 8 credits.
- 720P: 1 credit per 2 seconds. 30 seconds is 15 credits.
- 1080P: 1 credit per second. 30 seconds is 30 credits.
An 8-second 720P test of the same prompt is 4 credits. If that test already has an extra person or a title card, the 30-second version will spend the time repeating the mistake. Fix the short one.
Structure the half minute
A single sentence stretched to 30 seconds usually becomes a slow zoom with a soundtrack. A usable 30-second prompt is a shot list with times. Four blocks of about 7 seconds, or six blocks of 5, both work. Each block needs a place for the camera and one event. “Then something happens” is not an event.
Say whether you want cuts. “One continuous take, no cuts” is a real instruction, and the long-take cards in the prompt library are written that way. A prompt that jumps rooms without saying “cut” often smears the rooms together. If you want coverage, write “cut to” and name the new frame.
Keep the cast small. One person on a harbor walk can stay the same person for 30 seconds. Four named people in a dialogue scene usually cannot, not at this length, on a first try. The dialogue cards on the library are 6 to 10 seconds for that reason.
Sound across a long clip
Native audio stays on for the whole duration. A 30-second prompt that says “epic orchestral score” is asking for a piece of music the model will imitate, often badly, and sometimes close to a recording you did not name. Describe the room instead. Footsteps, wind, a buoy, no music, no speech. If you need a line of dialogue, write the exact words and the second they start, and keep the line short.
Turn audio off if the 30 seconds is a picture you will edit to a track you already have rights to. You do not get a discount for silence.
A published 30-second clip, and what it is not
The sample section on /wan-3-0 includes a 30-second desert clip and a 30-second monologue published by Alibaba Cloud, plus a 30-second chase published as a Wan 3.0 reference-to-video sample. Those players load the publisher’s file. The prompt under each one is the prompt that publisher printed. They are evidence that a 30-second Wan 3.0 generation exists. They are not renders of the original prompts on our library page, and this guide is not claiming we produced them.
Use them as a length reference. Watch where the camera resets, and where a face holds. Then write your own times. The library’s harbor, library-aisle, night-bus, and workshop prompts are 30-second drafts you can prefill and then shorten to 8 seconds for the test pass.
Order of work
- Write the 30-second list in full, so the beats exist.
- Set duration to 8 and resolution to 720P. Generate.
- If the opening beat is wrong, fix the opening before you look at the ending. A bad start is the whole clip.
- When the 8 seconds holds, set duration to 30. Stay at 720P unless you need the larger file. On Standard, 1080P doubles the credits against 720P at this length (30 versus 15).
- Download the MP4. The provider link expires.
Questions people hit on the first try
Can I pick 27 seconds?
Yes. Any whole second from 2 to 30. The preset buttons are only shortcuts. On Standard at 720P, 27 seconds is 14 credits because the charge rounds up.
Will a long prompt automatically become 30 seconds?
No. The duration control is the length you are billed for. A long prompt at 5 seconds is a 5-second clip.
Is there an automatic duration?
Not on this page. Some other models offer a mode that picks the length. Here, the number on the slider is the number in the request.
